Between his soothingly soft voice and the comfortingly simple guitar parts, Mac Demarco’s music has always been a safe space for myself and many others. From the early years of his career, he always gave off a vibe that told you that he didn’t care about what anyone else said about his music. Demarco creates seemingly only for his own pleasure, in his later years treating music as more of a therapy than anything else. His attitude and aptitude for the creation of music led to his fame, and I would attribute his music for getting me through various tough times in my own life.
